WOLOLO is the war cry of the Priest unit from the original, real-time, historical strategy game 'Age Of Empires'. October 2022 marked an incredible 25 years since the first version back in 1997, so it had to be a big celebration, one that the global gaming community would remember forever. Working with 'We Are Collider' London, I visualised environments, special effects projection and lighting for the 'LEGACY LAN Final' hosted in Heidelberg Castle, Germany.
Below are a few early concept visuals which didn't make the 'final cut' due to budget and venue constraints, but were among some of the most technically complicated visuals I have ever done. Below these visuals you will find the final client visuals and some shots taken during the competition in Heidelberg.
